startmenu Podcast Episode 11 - What Does E3 Stand For?

Hello everyone! THE STARTMENU PODCAST IS BACK!

But why?

I explain this a bit in the first episode of what we will call “The startmenu Podcast 3.0”. Honestly, everyone in the discord and that has been part of the site has wanted to bring it back for a while, problem is, podcasts are a lot of work for all involved. So we had two goals with 3.0 - firstly, we wanted something as flexible and adaptable as the startmenu itself and, secondly, we wanted to create something sustainable for everyone involved. We’re doing all this by not having a set format, like our previous episodes, instead week to week we will change what sort of show we are doing. Some weeks, like this episode, we will discuss a set topic, some weeks we will debate the important issues (like are catboys good for the economy?) and every few weeks we hold a video game book club (check our Twitter on Monday for a clue as to what our first game is).

So yeah, the podcast is back and I hope we can keep it going for a while, co-host will float in and out and I am sure will get some guests on too but be sure to listen, share and send us your feedback and suggestions for episodes and game club ideas.

I also want to take a second to say an extra special thank you to Odhrán (@OdhranJohnson) for editing this. He did a great job patching up a recording hiccup we had and freeing me up to keep working on the rest of the site.
